La Palma - Nature,
Adventure & Leisure
85 km from
Tenerife and 1440 from Cadiz (Spain) lies the island of La Palma,
a mini-paradise of nature with an eternal spring climate. Fire
and lava, rain and rivers have carved the so called Pretty Island.
Declared a Reserve of the Biosphere, La Palma is the highest
island in the world in relation to its surface area of only
706km2, with mountains rising over 2,000m. It also boasts a
unique national park nestling in the impressive Caldera de Taburiente
crater. 85,000 inhabitants, who populate the 706 Km2 of La Palma,
live a calm life in this island that it is still little urbanized.
In addition to first-rate flying conditions, visitors can also
enjoy different adventure and outdoors activities, from hiking
or mountain-biking to scuba diving. Or relax at the beach and
then enjoy the Canaries gastronomy after a good day of flying.
